At North Dallas Aviation, we’ve worked with countless first-time clients who quickly become repeat passengers. Flying private offers a myriad of benefits, from shorter travel times to increased productivity. If you’ve never chartered a private jet but are considering it for your next trip, take a look at our simple guide to flying private for beginners.
How to Book a Private Flight
First, find a private jet chartering company you can trust. At NDA, we maintain the highest safety certifications, such as the IS-BAO Stage II certification and the ARG/US Gold rating. In addition to our high safety standards, we offer top-of-the-line concierge services and access to over 7,000 airports across the country. To book one of our private jets for the first time, you can fill out our online form or contact us directly to receive professional assistance with choosing the perfect aircraft for your needs.
When to Arrive
Unlike commercial passengers, private passengers do not need to stand in lengthy security lines. Rather than arriving two hours before your flight, you can show up with as little as fifteen minutes to spare and seamlessly board your jet. In the event that you are running late, call your private jet chartering company and we can often adjust your departure time as needed.
What to Bring
When you book your private flight, you will need to provide a copy of your state-issued driver’s license or ID card. (The only exception is when you’re booking an international flight, in which case you’ll need your passport.) Bring these same identification documents on the day of your flight and ask any of your fellow passengers to do the same. While there are no limitations on what you can bring on your flight, make sure you are aware of your jet’s cargo capacity. If you have several guests traveling with you, luggage space may be limited.
Where to Sit
If you’re used to flying with commercial airlines, you are probably used to receiving an assigned seat during the booking process. You will not receive an assigned seat on a private jet. However, if you are an invited guest of another party, consider allowing them to select a seat before selecting your own.
What to Expect from Your In-Flight Experience
As we mentioned earlier, we offer high-quality concierge services on all private flights. This includes gourmet catering, in-flight WiFi, and pre-scheduled ground transportation at all destinations. If you have any special requests, please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Throughout your journey, you’ll have the privacy and freedom to conduct business, relax, or enjoy in-flight entertainment without interruptions. Please note that many private jets also offer lavatories, but because private flights often take a few hours or less, this is not a guarantee. Make sure to take this into consideration when selecting a private jet from the fleet.
At NDA, we’ve been in the business of private flying and jet management for over 35 years. Learn more about our chartering services today.
